Alan J. Lee, Carroll County Clerk of Court began his elected term in January 2009. He is a fourteen-year veteran of the Carroll County Sheriff's Department and a Military Veteran. Mr. Lee is committed to the service to his community and her citizens. His duties include the oversight of every facet of the Superior and State Court Offices. The Clerk of Court's duties are set by Georgia Law. Mr. Lee maintains an open-door policy for his office. Departments and Services
The dedicated personnel of the Carroll County Superior and State Courts and I, Alan J. Lee - Clerk of Court, are proud to serve you in every way. There has been and will continue to be an open door policy for your access to the Clerk of Courts. My staff and I will gladly assist you.
We hope that this web site will greatly expand the resources of the Clerk's office and help make your experience at the Carroll County Courthouse more efficient and convenient. Superior Court
The Superior Court clerk's offices handle all felony criminal cases accused or indicted by the District Attorney's office. They also handle any civil proceedings filed in the Superior Court of Carroll County. All adoptions are filed in Superior Court.
State Court
The State Court Clerk's offices handle all misdemeanor criminal cases accused by the Solicitor of Carroll County and all traffic related offenses. They also handle any civil proceedings filed in the State Court of Carroll County.
Real Estate Recording Departments
The Real Estate offices at the courthouse in Carroll County handle the intake and recording of all Real Estate documents, liens, plats, UCCs, Notary Public applications/commissions, trade names and other miscellaneous documents filed on the General Execution docket of Carroll County. The intake of fines and restitution for Superior and State Courts are processed through these offices. Also handled in these offices are passports, notaries, trade names, and child support intake and payouts on State Court abandonment cases.
