Mr. Lee is committed to the service to his community and her citizens. His duties include the oversight of every facet of the Superior and State Court Offices. The Clerk of Court's duties are set by Georgia Law. Mr. Lee maintains an open door policy for his office. He also encourages anyone with questions, comments, or requests to contact him at his office at (770)830-5838.
The Clerk's offices are divided into three divisions: Superior Court, State Court and Real Estate. The Superior Court and State Court offices are charged with the recording and maintenance of all the filed documents for criminal and civil proceedings. The dedicated employees of the Clerk's office also support every court proceeding with the presence of a Deputy Clerk. Filing of case documents, both in office and during the court proceedings, is just a part of their responsibilities.
The Real Estate office is charged with recording deeds, UCCs, Liens, Plats, Trade Names, DD-214s, etc. This office also issues Notary Public Commissions and is a Passport Acceptance Agency for the U.S. Department of State. The Real Estate/Recording office employees assist the public daily with respect to the filing and copying of deeds and real estate related documents. The real estate intake office receives and processes the payments for the filing of all documents in the Clerk's office. The intake office also processes all fine and restitution payments in Superior and State Courts.
We accept and appreciate all feedback and suggestions for improvement to the services provided at the Clerk's office.
